About the Musicians:
Rocky Mountain Band
The Rocky Mountain Band is a John Denver tribute group that has been performing for about 10 years. The core group of David and Jackie Reinwald, and Lee Schappell plus other fine musicians have raised money for several organizations including Reading Junior Academy, earthquake victims in Haiti, The Holly Heilman Cancer Fund, and for the family of our percussionist, Randy Angelo, who passed away in December of 2012. This will be our first shot at doing a Christian concert together as a full band, though each of us have played Christian music in different combinations. Dave Reinwald is the pastor of Kissinger's Lutheran Church in Wyomissing.
Married to Andrew Bugay and blessed with three sons, Zachary, Anthony and Bryson. I have been attending Grace Fellowship Church, Shillington for over 20 years. I have homeschooled my children for 16 years and work fulltime at Caron Treatment Centers for 13 years as an Administrative Assistant. Many years back I was suffering with a bleeding polyp on my vocal cord that required removal by surgery. Before the surgery, our Heavenly Father totally healed me in the name of Jesus Christ and HE stopped the bleeding and removed my polyp!! Praise the Lord!!! My voice belongs to the Lord and it is my desire to share the Word of God through song. I am so excited that our Heavenly Father has no limits of what He can accomplish ...over and above what we could ever imagine!!! The Word of God, Psalm 91, is amazing strength in my life!!
The Miller Brothers
From Reading, PA the Miller brothers, Jimmy, age 26, Peter, age 23, and Nathan, age 20 offer contemporary worship music in a variety of styles. All of it is intent on lifting high the Name of Jesus and providing an atmosphere in which people desire to encounter God and follow in His ways. The "Miller Brothers" are sons of Messianic Jewish Evangelist Jeffrey D. Miller and his wife Karen Miller. The "boys" were intensely involved in the Reading School District Music program as students, all were honored in their respective ensemble groups during their elementary, middle school and high school careers. Jimmy is currently in his 3rd year at Ohio State Medical School. He received his undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Notre Dame where as a Tuba Player he participated and held a leadership position with Notre Dame Fighting Irish Marching Band. His instruments are: Vocal, Guitar, Tuba, Clarinet, Piano. Peter is currently working toward his Masters Degree in Biblical Studies with Liberty University. He received his undergraduate degree in Mass Media and Communications. He leads the Youth Band, "Fusion" at Grace Fellowship Church in Shillington. His instruments: Violin, Vocal, Guitar. Nathan is currently a Music Composition Major at Penn State University. He plays keyboard for worship bands at Penn State and locally at Grace Fellowship Church. His instruments are: Piano, Vocal, Cello, Trumpet.
Yvonne started singing in as a performer in 2006 and shortly after that she started writing and singing her own music. She had been singing all her life, participating in church choir, school chorus, and high school musicals. Often singing special music at church, originally using accompaniment CDs, she later learned to play the guitar so she could accompany herself. She has found a passion in making music for the Lord - a muscianary if you will. Yvonne is joined by Gary Yerger on bass, Dave Ruth on lead guitar, Andy Bond on drums, and Esther Johnson on background vocals.
Rehoboth SDA Praise Team
Rehoboth Praise Team is a Group of individuals representing a range of generations who enjoy sharing the love and saving power of Jesus Christ through inspirational music... the universal language!
Every Saturday, this group opens the church worship service with lively, uplifting Praise music and returns mid-service to usher in a spirit of Worship, Prayer and Thanksgiving. The mission of the Rehoboth Praise Team is found in Matthew 28:19 and Psalm 96.
The Praise Team consists of Musicians; Richard Ewen and Marwayne Ford and Vocalists; Norma Towles, Malia Ewen, Angelique Spellman, Donna Noray, Jahleda Ford, Arielle Joseph, Marsha Ford, Elta Henry, Jonathan Allsop, Wayne Henry and Kevin Williams.
The Well (WLUMC Praise Team)
The praise team at West Lawn UMC has been blessed by many talented and gifted musicians and singers. The praise service began at West Lawn UMC approximately 14 years ago in the basement of the church as an alternative style of worship to attract young people. Today, this service has the largest in attendance and in April of 2012 we began a second praise service.
God has blessed us an abundance of volunteers which allow us the ability to rotate singers and musicians into our schedule. Currently we have about 22 members including musicians, singers and technicians.
The church recently celebrated 100 years of service and in celebration, “The Well” recorded a CD of our favorite 15 songs to be given to each family unit and to visitors who attend our church. All the Glory and Honor be given to God.
Grace Fellowship Worship Team
We attend Grace Fellowship in Mohnton, PA. and are an eclectic crew all in different stages of life with different goals and dreams but all with the same motivation and love for Jesus Christ. We are the Body and want believers and non-believers alike to see that the life of a Christian is not mundane and rule focused. It's actually pretty exciting! So lay down part of yourself and pick up more of Him. "Come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!" Psalm 95:1.
St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church Music Ministry Ensemble
St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church Music Ministry Ensemble currently consists of four parts. Lewis Fains on keyboard, Barry Brown on guitar, Michael Misiaszek on bass, and Lee Wilder on drums. All are seasoned musicians, brought together from a variety of extensive music backgrounds to a unity of purpose in Jesus, playing instrumentally for His glory. With the exception of Lee Wilder, the group is currently based at St. John’s MBC in Reading, providing musical accompaniment for the Gospel Chorus and the Mass Choir, but are occasionally called upon for instrumental selections or programs.
Rock Solid held its first worship service in 1997 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Mohnton, PA. The group began with a team of 8 members. The worship service was held the first and third Sunday evening of each month providing a structured but Spirit led style. Rock Solid plays at the Praise & Worship service held every Sunday morning at 9am. The group performs both current contemporary Christian songs along with jazzed-up traditional hymns. Sunday morning format involves “up tempo” songs to engage the congregation followed by more worshipful songs in preparation for prayer and the sermon. Rock Solid participates in several outreach programs. The team provides 2 services at the Berks County prison the fifth Sunday of the month. Rock Solid has also played “on the lawn” outside of Calvary promoting both community involvement and mission exposure of the Good Shepherd Mission in Puttur, India, in which the team played at worship services in villages surrounding the mission. Rock Solid has also played at the Mohnton community worship/picnic, Calvary United Methodist in West Wyomissing block party, Rosedale camp, Mayor’s breakfast, Gring’s Mill Hymn sing, and various churches as part of the India mission presentation.
Dave Weiss (AmokArts)
It’s not JUST about the art…
AMOKArts is about PASSION
It’s about a passion to know Jesus and make Him known.
AMOKArts is about VISION
It’s about helping people to find God’s plan and purpose for their lives, to find and use their gifts to glorify God, serve others and make the world a better place.
AMOKArts is about MISSION
It’s about helping churches to empower their people to be all God intended them to be so the church can fulfill the mission God has given them.
I want to help people and churches to have a passion for Jesus, live their vision and accomplish their mission. Art is the tool, but it’s all about Jesus. I’d love to come to your church, participate in your program, paint and call and help people find and use their gifts to serve the Lord.
